The Emissary Poster

The Emissary PosterDue to popular demand here and on Twitter, I’m posting a higher-res version of the Benjamin Sisko Emissary poster in this week’s comic. You can either “save as” the image you see or clicky here. Thanks to all that commented and asked for it!

By the way, if, like some of you have said, you do print it out and hang it somewhere, we’d love to get a picture!

The Emissary in Action!

Save us from our cubicles, oh great Emissary of the Prophets!

Our friend Jeremy sent us this photo of the Emissary poster posted on his cube wall. To which Ricardo said, “Awesome indeed, if helping a geek decorate a cubicle isn’t the geekiest thing, I don’t know what is!”

I totally agree.

Thanks for the photo, Jeremy! (And really nice cube setup, man!)

Keep sending us those pics!

New Stuff Added to Downloads Section: Posters!

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

If you’re a regular reader of our comic, you’ve noticed that, every once in a while, we add little background details to our strips, just for fun and geek giggles. The most popular of these pieces of background art are usually the posters we make up and insert into unsuspecting walls in many of our comics.  We’re often asked for higher-res versions of these posters by readers, the now classic Emissary poster that was featured in Buffer Overflow even adorned walls in real life!  So, due to popular demand, we’ve added a new section to our Downloads page. It’s a section devoted to these posters. Keep in mind that these posters are basically done as an inside joke, and most weren’t even meant to be readable in the comic itself. Also, most of them are kitbashed from any piece of art we have laying around, so they aren’t supposed to be great works of art. Still, they are a fun bit we’d like to share with all of you.

We’ll be adding more posters as they make appearances on the strip, so be sure to check the page every once in a while.
