Space Invaders is Now Furniture!

Yes, you read that right. Our beloved Space Invaders has now been turned into furniture. You can now decorate your living room in 8-bit goodness with this fantastic sofa. Designer and motorcycle enthusiast Igor Chak has created this quite fantastic sofa concept that, albeit looking quite uncomfortable, looks damned cool.

Check out more pics at Chak’s personal site.

Epic Super Mario Bros. Speed Run! (On a Wall)

Check out this awesome video! These guys recorded a Super Mario Bros. speed run and then composited the result into a running wall. The result is pretty damn neat. Check it out below.

Roombas Play Pac-Man!

Check out this video of a group of hacked Roombas playing a game of real-life Pac-Man completely autonomously. A team of developers hacked these little machines, having the Pac-Man bot sucking up little white rectangles while Roomba Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde chase him. This demonstration was created to demo the developers’ Unmanned Aerial System suite, designed for guidance of airborne vehicles. Now, let’s see if I can hack my Roomba to play a real-life version of Burger Time. I’ve already got the patties, bread, pickles, eggs and hot dogs. I just need to find a way to get my Roomba to spit out pepper.

8-bit + Lego = WIN

As I’ve mentioned before, I love anything 8-bit and/or pixel related. This video is not only an 8-bit tribute (in both visuals and audio), but it also uses LEGOS. It took them approximately 1500 hours to complete, but the end result was totally worth it. Enjoy :)
